B-King B-Fast (Pancakes and Lucky Charms Milkshakes. I’m not even kidding)

The milkshakes tasted pretty much like sweet, but the lucky charm for ground up so thin and fine that almost every single Fleck inspect of them maybe through danger issue straw. That was a huge relief, especially after all the times I’ve had to struggle with bubble tea and their extra wide straws. The whip cream thankfully came without maraschino cherries, which I don’t like. The cream itself felt and tasted just enough like dairy to tell me that it was real cream, but otherwise it was flavorless sweet. Then there was the milkshake underneath it.  A little bit runny but that just meant easier sucking, and you could barely see cereal or marshmallows. But I’m still counting this as a breakfast food, because of all the walking I had to do to get it as early in the morning as I did. I am putting together a fitness technique system to use with public transportation. I was able to put it to use today and burned a lot of calories doing some of the footage capture on my way to the Burger King that I will be using in the actual project. Then I made it all the way back home on foot. So there’s regular cereal there’s milk and if you’re hyperactive Maverick like me, no excess calories.  If you’re not…. you’ll probably want to avoid this.
A quick note about the pancakes. When I saw a sign advertising three large pancakes with only $0.89 for the price, I just had check this out. They were definitely not the silver dollar variety you get a Jack in the Box, these were about as big around as the palm of my hand, and I have relatively large hands. Obviously these aren’t going to be the size and proportions you’ll find in restaurants, they’re only $0.89 after all. But they are such a better buy that much of get a Jack In The Box. As for texture, they’re nice and press like pillows with just a bit of a thickness in the texture. I know I have said before that I like chewy sensations against my jaws, but I do have foods in mind where that is the exception. Specifically cookies and pancakes. These I like to be soft as a cloud that gives you hot little kisses as you bite through it. I know I’m picturing food stuff sprouting lips and pop okay okay bad choice of words. Hopefully I’ll choose my words better next time. Going to have that visual my head all day.

Deviantart Birthday Challenge

So today I logged onto Deviantart.com, and I saw a Happy Birthday banner.  Clicking on it, I saw a drawing challenge.  I write and snap photographs, so it’s not for me, but I’ll pass it along to you.  There are a series of skeletal points to guide your “17 years” pic, but beyond that it’s all up to you.  Their birthday is today, so let’s ring it in style!

Rose of Versailles Episode 2 Part 3

RoV Ep 2 Tempting Fate

As word of Lady Mary’s antics reaches her guard, Oscars challenger, now subordinate, remarks how like a woman this is.  As Oscar complains about putting all of this time and preparation to waste, Andre jestingly points out that Oscar waited until last minute to put on her uniform.
However Oscar spies an attendant entering AFTER the commotion has already started and leave it to the woman who dresses like a man to see him recognize a man who dresses like a woman.  Andre laughs her off, although rumors have already reach them about a plan to kidnap Marie Antoinette’s. So it’s rather irresponsible of Andre not to be suspicious of any little thing that might be astray. I’ll leave that to his inexperience.
So the attendant who we saw earlier (Jean) approaches Marie-Antoinette as she picks out of her hiding place, and by being in hiding rather than calling out in a panic like the real attendance, invites her to take part in the scheme of swapping places.  Not being filled in on the whole context, Marie’s rebellious (and slighted) spirit throws in with this scheme.

RoV Ep 2 Getting Marie on Board

Soon “Marie” appears and the attendants redress her hair and clothing (One only wonders how “she” will get the privacy after this stunt to maintain the surprise, while those blonde tresses are a wig, so how is that supposed to be restyled?)

Now, while Jean’s part is going off without a hitch, Marie’s falls apart as soon as she leaves.  Oscar spots an attendant leaving and chases after her, characteristically not telling anyone where she’s going.  Once the imposter is prepared the procession goes ahead, leaving Oscar and Marie on their own.  With Duke Orlean’s Gaurds.  Who greet Marie as soon as she arrives in the hideout cave.  Who she strikes and insults almost immediately.  Oh boy.

This is one of several times Marie Antoinette is referred to as a shrew this episode.  Is that being used the same way as “bitch?”  Cause it sure seems like it.  But before any damage can be done, Oscar shows up.  It’s hero time, baby!

RoV Ep 2 It's Hero Time

So after quickly dispatching some thugs and making a break for it with the princess in tow, Oscar leads the surviving goons on a chase across the river.  Dispatching their pursuers until only their leader (Hench #2 from the earlier meeting scene) remains.  Easily enough, she captures and interrogates him.

To the series’ credit, she asks first if he is English.  But then she quickly deduces that he’s French.  But before she can get more than that, he gets a throwing knife in the back courtesy of his bad boss.  Kill count is up to two.

RoV Ep 2 Duke Orlean Minion Kill Count 2.png

We saw Duke Orlean’s hat and cloak in his previous kill, and now Oscar sees him in this kill.  And cannot recognize him because of his cloak.  I’ve got to say, that’s much more effective than a mask.  It’s more in touch with the fashion of his time, and not as conspicuous as a mask.  But it still shrouds his identity.  Letting him him ride ahead of the procession.  Speaking of which…

The Duke’s plan seems to be about to go off without a hitch.  Jean (with a spiffy new wig) is being presented to the royal court.  But almost immediately Oscar shows up causing a scene with a girl dressed as an attendant who she claims is Lady Marie.  Given that no one in the court has seen Marie before I find it highly convenient that EVERYONE believes her, but she is Marie Antoinette’s bodyguard, and the other Marie is running away…

RoV Ep 2 Reveal Marie

…only to be slain by Duke Orlean, evidently going for the Hat Trick of deadly cover ups.

RoV Ep 2 Duke Orleans Hat Trick of Death

Oscar raises the obvious question of why would you kill someone who could still hold valuable information.  Duke Orlean uses the old “death to the enemies of the state” defense.

Marie is redressed, and introduced to Duke Orlean, the King, and her Fiance properly, though the proper wains a little when the man who is to be her husband is… shy.  And unattractive.  And unflattering.  Marie is… unimpressed.  Though her mind is blown to hear that her guardian Oscar is a woman.

And at the very end as her procession to Versailles passes through his sight, we’re introduced to Fersen.  Don’t know who Fersen is?  Well don’t worry, you have search engines.  But unfortunately, those weren’t around in the ’70s.  The episode just expects you to know who COunt Axel Von Fersun is going into a series that focuses on a completely fictitious OC.

1. Haha I haven’t any idea why someone would want me to make a costume for them I can hardly make my own.

2. I’ve always loved costumes. My mom would take me to hair shops and I would always run to the wig section and just look at all the different colors and styles and it would feel like I was looking at different people.

3. Outside of cosplay I guess my hobbies are makeup, fashion, and stuff like that.

4. I pay for literally everything and I’m poor as hell when I do lol. Luckily the con I attend every year is around my birthday so my parents usually pay for that as a present they’ve been doing it since I was a kid and it’s kinda a tradition now.

5. My number one favorite anime is really hard for me to say. I like really bad animes so Baka and Test is one of my favorites haha.

6. My favorite material to work with is probably LED lights. I feel like I go crazy and put them everywhere when I use them because they’re so pretty.
